This Privacy Policy outlines our commitment to protecting the personal and professional data of our Freelancers (Experts) and Clients. By using our platform, you consent to the data practices described in this policy.

​We collect information in three ways:

  • ​Information You Provide:
    • ​Account Data: Full name, email address, password, and profile picture.
    • ​Expert Data: Portfolio, CV, skills (e.g., n8n, Make, Zapier), and educational background.
    • ​Financial Data: Tax IDs, PayPal/Stripe email addresses for payouts and payments.
  • ​Information Collected Automatically:
    • ​Usage Data: IP addresses, browser type, device information, and page interaction.
    • ​Cookies: Small data files used to maintain your session and remember your preferences.
  • ​Communication Data:
    • ​All messages exchanged between Freelancers and Clients on our internal chat system are stored for security and dispute resolution purposes.

​3. Specialized Data: AI & API Keys

  • ​Sensitive Access: In many projects, Clients may provide Freelancers with access to third-party tools via API Keys or Login Credentials.
  • ​Doully’s Role: Doully does not store these keys on its servers. We strongly advise Clients to use “Environment Variables” or “Shared Access” features within tools like Make.com or n8n.
  • ​Responsibility: Freelancers are legally bound to delete any sensitive data provided by the Client once the project is completed.

​4. How We Use Your Information

  • ​Service Delivery: To facilitate the hiring process and project management.
  • ​Trust & Safety: To verify the identity of experts (Verified Badge) and prevent fraudulent accounts.
  • ​Marketing: To showcase top-tier experts in our newsletters and homepage.
  • ​Financial Transactions: To process payments through secure third-party gateways.

​5. Data Retention & Security

  • ​Retention: We keep your data as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we may retain certain financial records for legal and tax purposes.
  • ​Security: We implement SSL encryption and industry-standard security measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

​6. Sharing Data with Third Parties

​We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We only share data with:

  • ​Payment Processors: To handle funds (Stripe, PayPal, etc.).
  • ​Legal Authorities: If required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our community.
